Matthew 7:13-14 (New Living Translation)

13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Two roads and two distinct destinies.  One hell, (which is very real) and the other, eternal life in God's Kingdom.  One difficult and requires complete dedication, discipline and self-sacrifice.  The other, broad and easy and the gate wide, a life of self first, feeding all of the lustful cravings of the sinful nature. This is the good life!  You are either on the one or the other...  Only two roads... which is it?

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12 New International Version)

What does that mean? "Teach us to number our days aright"?  Well, we sometimes think that we will never die or that we have an unlimited amount of time to our disposal.  We forget that we are dying... that every second that passes we are that closer to the end of this chapter of our lives.  We all suffer from a terminal disease, we are broken and leaking life, our bodies are slowly dying... There is nothing you can do about it.  Each one of us will die.

Spiritual nourishment doesn't only come from attending church, studying the Bible and prayer.  Spiritual nourishment comes from doing the will of God and spreading the Kingdom Message, bringing people to Christ and helping to complete His work of salvation.

The Victory Is Yours

As I write you this encouraging Word This morning, I know this is for someone who needs to hear God's Word for you, concerning forgiveness and having a different attitude.  It is so important to understand that we have a different Spirit leading and guiding us.  If you have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you are led by a different Spirit than what controls this world. You have the Mind of Christ, (1 Cor. 2:16).  You can only belong to one of two masters!  Christ or the devil!  It is the one or the other...there is nothing in-between, either God is your Father or Lucifer is!

His Gift Of Peace

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. (John 14:27 New Living Translation)

To receive this gift, means you must believe the Word.  Too many Christians say they do but live with unsettled, disturbed anxious hearts! Jesus promised, "Don't be troubled or afraid". Go to a quiet place and bring your anxious heart to God.  Now pray to Him about your concern, and petition Your Father, whom love you more than you can imagine or understand.  Now praise Him in faith!  Believing is not faith!  Faith is acting out what you believe, as if it has already happened!  Believing comes by hearing God's Word.  Are you hearing God's Word... His voice, this morning...?  Then praise Him, for it is done!
