Good morning.  Sadly this will be our last letter to you for 2009.  Everyone is slowing down and taking time out to be with family and friends as we contemplate this wonderful gift the Father has bestowed upon us... He became one of us, born into a frail human family, a mere baby, innocent, pure and holy... who would have known, this helpless baby, Redeemer and Saviour of Mankind!

Jesus is the "Pattern Son", and like Christ you became a baby when you were born from that same Spirit, His Character, His Life and Purpose birthed in you.  Although we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, born in a humble stable and placed in a manger...  Jesus  didn't stay a baby in a manger....., He grew up, stayed obedient to His Father's calling and purposefully pursued and completed the mission that was given to Him!

He is the Pattern!  As His followers we must grow up!  We must understand that each of us has been called to His purpose for our lives.

Good morning.  It is the beginning of a new week and if you are still working while others are on holiday... I have good news for you!  You can have all the "rest" and peace you need right now.  All you need to do is have faith in God's Word and be obedient to it!  It says you should abandon yourself on Him and trust Him completely with your life!  Stop trying so hard out of your own strength... That will only make you tired and despondent and some even gives up! But if you trust God to lead you by the Power of the Holy Spirit... He will lead you to a place of rest... rest from your own efforts!

The author of Hebrews says, he trembles with fear that some people will never find that place of rest, which is there for us... who believe God's Word and promise, that there is a place of rest!
